Description

The Housing Authority of Milwaukee is seeking a Chief Operations Officer to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic and operational leadership across public housing, voucher programs, and affordable housing development. This role oversees day-to-day housing operations, ensures HUD and LIHTC compliance, drives performance improvement, and advances portfolio repositioning and revitalization initiatives. The COO partners closely with the Executive Director, Finance, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality housing and strengthen long-term organizational sustainability. Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency with HUD programs (Public Housing, HCV/Section 8; knowledge of RAD/Section 18 helpful), affordable housing (LIHTC, mixed-finance), asset/property management, finance/budgets, procurement, capital planning, and compliance preferred.
